15. Padova – Monselice

Stage without any problems: the route starts from the Basilica del Santo, essentially follows the Cammino di Sant’Antonio and passes not far from Abano Terme, crosses Mezzavia, Battaglia Terme and passes in front of the Catajo Castle and the Villa Emo.

Starting from Piazza del Santo, you arrive in Prato della Valle, perhaps the largest garden square in Italy. After crossing the whole square, after crossing Piazzale Santa Croce, continue straight on the cycle path. Then you go to the confluence of one of the many canals with the Bacchiglione river. After crossing the first bridge, continue on the embankment and then a second one. Then you go along the embankment Lungargine dei Barcari or Via Mandria. The cycle path along the Battaglia canal leads to Monselice; but even if it is a long straight line, it offers various architectural and urban surprises. Go under the SR 47 and arrive at Villa Molin. You pass under the SS 250, and you arrive at the Catajo Castle. Then there is the town of Battaglia Terme, then you pass in front of Villa Emo and finally Monselice. Cross the Battaglia canal on the iron bridge, and arrive in the center of Piazza Mazzini
